"We are truly thankful to have found Jen Care Solutions when we were looking for a provider to support our Dad, as he approached the end of his life. The managers who attended the interview were professional, kind and courteous and showed a genuine interest in our Father as well as the rest of the family. They spent a good amount of time understanding Dad's needs as well his history and personality and sat with him to explain who they were and what to expect from their care team. It probably helped that they were local to us but I'm confident we would have appointed them anyway as they were clearly the best of those we interviewed. They stayed in touch throughout the care period and were on-hand for us to contact them if needed with any queries or issues. They were flexible and able to adapt to Dad's changing needs over the care period.
The care team themselves were fantastic. They were capable, kind and compassionate ensuring that Dad maintained his dignity and always felt able to accept or refuse care at any given moment. They established a great rapport with him and us and probably came to know as much about his life as we do. The team remained largely the same so Dad was always comfortable in their presence and it also made it easy for us to know what was going on, any changes in Dad's condition and what we could do in-between visits. It often felt like we were one big family supporting Dad and each other as his life drew to a close. Afterwards we had good de-brief and they remained as thoughtful and interested as they had been at our first meeting and we parted company feeling we had done everything possible to make what remained of Dad's life, as loving and dignified as possible.
